About

I’m a Principal Research Scientist at Dow, working across catalysis, reaction engineering, process chemistry & scale-up.

My interests span biology, chemistry, reaction engineering, process chemistry, and mathematical modeling — with statistics and Wolfram Language as key tools for tying that together. The throughline across this site is applying mathematical modeling to real experimental problems, wherever the problem happens to sit on that spectrum.

Before Dow, my PhD (Medicinal Chemistry, Virginia Commonwealth University) and postdoctoral work (Texas A&M) were in small-molecule design and peptidomimetic chemistry. I still think about problems the way that training taught me to — hypothesis-driven, comfortable moving between molecular detail and the bigger structural question underneath it.

Serving as co-chair of the ACS PMSE Breakthrough in Polymers (BIP) Forum, heading into the chair role in 2027. Preparing for an invited panel on statistics from an industrial perspective at the AIChE Annual Meeting this November, and continuing to guest lecture at Texas A&M’s Chemistry Department.

Outside research, I play bass in a fusion project that blends rock, blues, and jazz — links and collaborator credits on the Music page.
